Penny’s paintings are an amalgam of the feelings, emotions, and sights she experiences of places around the world. She does not seek to replicate or imitate views but to create a tapestry of vivid colours, shapes and textures woven into an abstracted landscape.

Penny’s work as an international educator has taken her to over 45 countries and 5 continents and this has greatly affected her art. She immerses herself in the sights, culture and sensation of wherever she works and all the people she meets.

She works exclusively in oils and collage on canvas or board. Her practice has been hugely influenced by the work of Martin Kinnear and the tuition provided by his studio.
